Director - Publisher Development

Taboola is the world's leading content discovery platform, serving 360B recommendations to over 1B unique visitors each month on the web's most innovative publisher sites, including NBC, USA Today, The Weather Channel, Tribune and Fox Sports. Taboola, the world’s largest content recommendation platform, is hiring a Director - Publisher Development. 
Taboola is looking for a dedicated Partner Development Director to own the business development relationship with Microsoft.  The Director will work closely with the Partner to identify new partnership and revenue opportunities, while collaborating with internal stakeholders on development and deployment of new product offerings.  Above all, the Director is responsible for the growth and success of the Partner relationship. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a history of revenue attainment, and strong managerial skills from previous experience.
In this job you will:

  • Identify and close opportunities for new lines of business with various Partner divisions
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and team leaders to align product development with driving partner growth
  • Develop vertical and horizontal relationships throughout Partner organization through effective networking
  • Maintain active Partner conversations through regular and consistent engagement, demonstrating market knowledge and industry expertise
  • Serve as an escalation point for operational issues stemming from existing partner integrations 

About you:

  • Required:
    • BA/BS degree
    • 10+ years of experience in management consulting, business development or enterprise software sales
    • 5+ years of enterprise partnership management experience
    • Very strong analytical thinking, project management and organization skills
    • Experience working with remote global teams
    • Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively to C-level audience
    • Ability to present persuasive arguments to support recommendations internally and externally
    • Working technical knowledge of HTTP, web-architecture, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Understanding of REST API integrations
    • Regular domestic and some international travel
  • Preferred:
    • Computer Science or Engineering degree
    • MBA or equivalent
    • Existing professional network within Microsoft
    • Front-end web development experience
    • Mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows) application development

Taboola is looking for a dedicated, analytical and driven Partner Success Manager with a passion for digital media to increase revenue and serve as a valuable resource/point of contact in our growing Seattle office. The Partner Success Manager will work directly with a Partner Success Director to identify optimization opportunities, upsell new initiatives and improve the key performance indicators with key strategic partners including Microsoft.  You will also be responsible for the day to day performance for each of their partners, communicating any specific performance fluctuations and measuring the overall post launch performance for any optimizations or upsells.
Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Manage day to day performance with 1-2 strategic publisher partners
  • Monitor and analyze metrics and proactively take steps to improve performance
  • Understand the company's strategic objectives / KPIs and map Taboola platform capabilities to the needs of the organization
  • Work closely with Partner Success Director to become a valuable resource both internally and externally
  • Work closely with Partner Success Director to map client organization
  • Actively participate with peers in a team-oriented culture and assist other internal groups
  • Help identify trends through data analysis and market conditions to pinpoint highest value optimizations
  • Understand Taboola's platform capabilities and the value proposition to the Publisher based on the specific capability and user role.
  • Work closely with internal Taboola teams as the liaison for all business and technical issues and opportunities
  • Be a field advocate and communicate client needs to the Product Management team.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of performance reports and market insights to partners to further support growth opportunities and recommendations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with Taboola platform and services.
  • Up to 25% travel will be required.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS required
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing experience in the digital media /online publisher space
  • A solid understanding of web technologies and the digital media revenue ecosystem, including web advertising measurements and analytics
  • Outstanding relationship management and customer service skills to go above and beyond for your clients.
  • Very strong analytical skills to collect business intelligence by monitoring/identifying trends with data
  • Highly motivated, proactive, dedicated and creative in order to pull all necessary resources for the client
  • High attention to detail and well organized, thrives in a multitasking environment and adjusts and prioritizes accordingly.
  • The will and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and learn, learn, learn!
  • Strong phone and email etiquette
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, but able to execute efficiently and follow-through
  • Customer focused attitude and motivated to help
  • Experience with CRM software and MS Excel (or Google Sheets)

In this role you will be working with a team of talented individuals who are responsible for delivering best-of-breed solutions to our top customers.
About you:

  • BSc. in tech oriented field or equivalent experience (e.g. Code School/Bootcamp)
  • Demonstrable experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL
  • Ability to comply with tight deadlines, and provide creative technical solutions
  • Experience providing excellent service to customers, preferably in a technical role

In this job you will: 

  • Assist in the creation and modification of custom user interfaces and logic for Taboola’s recommendation modules.
  • Collaborate with the business teams throughout the company and work directly with external customers’ product and technical teams to successfully implement and launch Taboola’s products.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting, including DB analysis and reading system logs to identify and solve complex issues.
  • Setup and run A/B tests for customers in order to optimize performance.
  • Management of numerous tasks and resources in parallel, prioritizing customer requirements and requests.
  • Write technical notes and documentation to be utilized by others on the team.
