Client Partner - DACH

Taboola is looking for a dedicated, Senior Account Manager to develop and grow some of our top clients’ businesses, strengthen client relationships and serve as a source of valuable insight to your points of contact. The DACH market is a key market to secure Taboola's growth and hence of central focus to the business. As such this role is geared towards experienced Account Managers who have a passion for great client service.
 
Over the past year, DACH biz group has won the friendly competition within our other EU biz groups and we've established ourselves as top biz group in our office. Many major growth opportunities are still untapped and we'd be happy for you to help us permanently defend our pole position :).
 
You'll be joining a growing team of five account managers with a very international feel (none of us are 100% German but we're all native speakers). The DACH team is known for its strong execution of global tasks, has great relationships with our clients and has become one of the favourites of our product team to be asked to join beta tests. We have a pretty analytical approach to account management and aim to be at the forefront of best practice creation for the global account management organisation.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Book of Business Management - service approx 5 top clients as key accounts for the DACH team. Focusing on: spotting abilities to scale, product rollout potential and further client needs
  • Account insights and strategy – analysing and creating custom reports and actionable insight for clients where necessary/ needed, to support your arguments for account growth
  • Client education & proactive consultation – Ensuring that clients are following the best practices and maximising every opportunity to achieve account success on the platform. Working with clients to help them understand and optimise their campaigns, hit campaign goals and scale their account
  • Campaign management – handling of first level technical requests -  implementation of conversion tracking codes, targeting, spending caps, pacing, etc. - and escalation of second level technical requests to Ad Ops in order to launch a campaign successfully
  • Upsell and Cross-sell - Focus on rollout of new product features and and additional campaigns as well as international account expansion
  • Client meetings and QBRs - Conducting face to face quarterly business review meetings with key clients whereby participants can range from day to day contact to C-level within the client organisation

Required Skills:

  • Experience in results-driven customer-facing role - specific examples will be expected
  • Familiar with management of a portfolio of clients - prioritisation, and farming of portfolio growth according potential
  • Hungry to upsell, and aware of the opportunities involved for clients looking for infinite scale (client focused proactivity and hunger for success will be encouraged and rewarded)

Taboola is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team.  Simply put, we are seeking a seasoned lawyer to help a rapidly growing tech company execute commercial transactions, as well as advise on a variety of legal matters. This individual will be a highly-motivated, self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.  This individual has done deals from start to finish and has experience to hit the ground running, prioritise items on a to-do list, and turn agreements quickly.  In this challenging position, you will report to the VP of Legal Affairs (based in new York) and work on an array of transactions and contract negotiations. Our team also works on data privacy law issues, and is currently working on GDPR compliance, so familiarity with global privacy laws is a bonus. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues in a fast-paced environment where your work will have a direct impact on our business.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Taboola’s business teams, specifically our publisher and advertising sales teams, to negotiate and close sales deals
  • Handle a wide variety of general corporate legal matters
  • Maintain processes for tracking and organising commercial agreements

  • Advise on policy and regulatory compliance in the advertising/media industry

Candidate Profile:

  • Undergraduate degree and at least 5 years PQE, with a minimum of two years at a major law firm
  • General intellectual property, data privacy, and commercial law experience (experience in media and advertising law is a plus)

  • An ability to pick up on new areas of legislation applicable and an ability to communicate those effectively
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple matters

In order to be successful the UK country manager will therefore need to combine strategic and commercial acumen with ‘lead by example’ attitude, benefitting from the processes and knowledge gained at a previous role.
Responsibilities

  • Build, motivate & lead the UK sales and management organisation.
  • Be a focal point of communication for the Taboola UK publisher business, prioritising business opportunities and product initiatives  
  • Help close new business with premium UK Advertisers & Publishers
  • Manage team pipelines and forecasts for all of the UK Business group.
  • Build strategic partnerships with customers from Directors upto C-Level.
  • Have an excellent understanding of digital advertising technology, video, and publisher revenue ecosystems.
  • Experience in Coaching and career planning across commercial teams
  • Work closely with Head of Region & Senior management to consistently achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Interact with account directors, account managers and our solutions team to effectively deliver on client KPI's.
  • Oversee all operations in UK including taking responsibility for sales, trade shows, roadshows, and quality targets set by the company

Requirements:

  • Native/fluent UK speaker.
  • Extensive senior experience in key sales positions, with strong leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to penetrate new markets and learn new technologies
  • Results driven and an ability to lead by example when required
  • Must be well connected within the UK digital media market, either advertiser or publisher and display impeccable local market understanding.
  • Experienced in independently building, pursuing and closing a large pipeline of leads
  • Excellent networking skills with a proven ability to develop long-lasting relationships with customers
  • A solid understanding of budgeting and business planning is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with agencies and clients by gaining insight into their business, and providing solutions to their video marketing goals

  • Generate high volume of sales calls, meetings, presentations and proposals to potential agencies, ATD's and advertisers 
  • Identify new business opportunities within territory across agency roster list 
  • Ability to travel to generate new business

Experience

  • Digital sales experience, including at least 2 years selling digital video (preferably programmatic) 
  • Proven track record of success in the market 
  • Strong ad agency contacts across investment and agency trading desk teams
  • Highly motivated team player with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment 
  • Proficient in MS Office, SalesForce (CRM software)
